この作品のタイトルの「NAGOYA-ABYSMAL」とは、「なごやそこなし」という意味で、画面の右端にまさにこの語が書かれています。これは、当時、名古屋グランパスが負け続けていて、新聞記事のタイトルにそう書かれていたものです。
