「EMANATIO―エマナチオ」はラテン語で、日本語では「流出」とか「発出」と訳される。おそらくは「EMAN0―流れ出る」という動詞を名詞化した言葉と思われるが、新プラトン主義においては特別な意味が与えられていて、一者（＝神？）から宇宙が湧き出るように創造されていくさまを表わす。この作品は、自分では、ミケランジェロの未完の彫刻作品のようなイメージ（石の中から人体が現われかけている）で、物質の中から意識が目覚め、存在の世界へ出ていくさま？と思ったりもする。「一者」とは、カントの「物自体」のような、「物質性の極地」でもあるのだろうか。「流出説」については、次のリンク（ウィキペディア）へ。＜リンク＞

The word "EMANATIO" is latin, and this word is translated as "emanating" in English. Probably the original words will be "EMANO" which is a verb. And, for this word, a special meaning was given in Neoplatonism. In the Neoplatonism this word explains the state that all universe springs out from The One(maybe God). In other words it means "the creation". I remember an unfinished work of Michelangelo when I watch my work. The work is a thing abandoned on the way which the human body is about to appear from a stone, it seems to look like consciousness begins to wake up from a material and goes out to the world.
