この作品は、ケント紙に鉛筆で描いたごく初期のものです。当時、人体と、主として新聞に載っていたさまざまな言葉を組み合わせて描きました。素材として、人体の写真とさまざまな要素を組み合わせたCGをつくり、それをプリントアウトして鉛筆で描写するという方法です。いろいろな要素が重なるおもしろさに惹かれました。「ゆきぐにまいたけ」というタイトルは、当時の新聞広告から採ったもので、画面では、中央の右端くらいにちょっと見えています。

I drew this work in Kent paper with a pencil considerably early. I combined various words with the human body and made this work. Those words mainly appeared in a then newspaper. I combined those words with the human body in a PC, and I printed out the screen, and I drew this work while watching that sheet as a model. I was attracted by the fun that various layers were piled up. I adopted the word "ゆきぐにまいたけ-yukigunimaitake" (Burn Mai in snowy country) which is a title of this work, from a then newspaper ad. There is this word in the right-side end of the middle of the sheet.
