ギャラリーアートワークスという画廊のお誘いで、三島市のストリートギャラリーに参加させていただいたときの写真。ストリートギャラリーは、商店街との共同企画で、いろんなお店の店先に、現代美術の作品をそれとなく飾るという試み。私は、INVISIの小型版をおもちゃ屋さんと和菓子店の店頭に展示させてもらった。上2枚がおもちゃ店、下2枚が和菓子店での展示風景。おもちゃ店では、男の子用のおもちゃと女の子用のおもちゃの間に飾ったが、まわりのおもちゃにみごとに溶けこんでなにがなんだかわからないいい感じになった。でも、おもちゃは売れたかもしれないが、作品は1枚も売れず。やっぱりこどもの目は真実を見抜くのだろうか？……Xボックスの黒いクロスが印象的。和菓子店では五月人形との競演。店内に意外になじんでしまってびっくり。でも、やはり1枚も売れず。

I took these photographs when I participated in the "street gallery" in Mishima-shi by the invitation of the art gallery called Gallery Art Works. The "street gallery" is an attempt to exhibit works of contemporary art naturally at the storefront of various shops, and this attempt was done through a collaboration with shops, gallery, artists, and Misima-shi. I displayed small INVISIs in this plan in the store of a toy store and the Japanese sweet shop. Two pieces of upper photographs are the display scenery in the toy shop, and lower two are display scenery in the Japanese sweet shop. In the toy shop, I displayed my works between the toys for boy and the toys for girl, and my works melted into the toys of the circumference wonderfully, and cannot tell what is what. But toys might be sell, no piece of work were sold. After all will the eyes of the child see truth?……The black cross of X-Box is impressive. In the Japanese sweet shop, it would be a competition with the doll of "samurai" which is the figure for the Boy's Festival. I was surprised with my works adjusted to Japanese sweets unexpectedly.
