上2枚は、東京の小野画廊でINVISIを展示したときの写真です。このときは、1030mm角の木枠に張った6基のINVISIパネルを3基づつ3角形に組み合わせ、2個の3角の中にろうそくを置きました。小野画廊は、現代美術専門の貸しギャラリーで、今は京橋に移っているようですが、そのころは銀座にありました。私は当時、なんとか銀座のギャラリーで個展をやりたいものと、名古屋から出てきて一日かけていろいろな画廊を廻り、作品を見てもらいましたが、すべて断られ……最後に辿りついたのが、この小野画廊でした。
画廊主の小野さんは、当時ご高齢でしたが、私の作品を丁寧に見てくださり、「これはいい。ここまでやれる方なら半額でお貸ししよう。」と。まあ、私の天にも昇る気持ちをご想像ください。……ところが……いよいよ個展がはじまり、私はずっと会場におりましたが、そうすると、一人の青年が作品を持って小野さんに面会……部屋からは、「これはいい。ここまでやれる方なら半額でお貸ししよう。」と、まったく同じフレーズが……またのちに、名古屋のギャラリーで会ったアーティストも、やっぱり小野さんに同じことを言われたと言ってました。うーん……これをどう考えるか……ですが、まあ、チャンスはチャンスだったんでしょう。私の場合には、それ以上、別になにも起きませんでしたが……画廊経営というのもなかなか大変だと思いました。なお、下2枚は、この個展のDM用に撮影した写真です。

Upper two photos, I took them when I displayed INVISI at Ono Gallery at Tokyo. At this private exhibition, I put six large INVISI panels. Each panel formed by wooden frame of the 1030mm square, and I made two triangles, and put large candle in the center of each triangle. Ono Gallery, maybe in Kyobashi now, was specialized in contemporary art for rent, and it was at that time in Ginza.
I wanted to do a private exhibition somehow in a gallery of Ginza in those days……and one day, I come out of Nagoya to show my works to gallery of Ginza…… but no gallery accepted my works at all, and at last, I visited this gallery, Ono Gallery.
Mr. Ono of the owner of the gallery was already old in those days. However, he watched my works carefully and said in this way. "So, Good! I will lend you my gallery at half price for your works are in high level, I think." Oh, please imagine my feeling rising to sky.…… However……however……a private exhibition begins, and I'm always at gallery. One day, a young man appeared, and entered Mr. Ono's room, and from that room, I noticed Mr. Ono's voice to say just same words. "So, Good! I will lend you my gallery at half price for your works are in high level, I think."
In addition, after my exhibition, I met an artist in a gallery of Nagoya, and he said the same, he also was talked from Mr. Ono that I was said. Mmm!……How do I think about this?……But, anyway, the chance would be chances. In the case of me, nothing rose further, but there seemed to be some artist who lengthened with it as a chance. Still, the management of the art gallery is difficult maybe. In addition, lower two pieces are photos which I took for the notice of this exhibition.
