1998年に京都のギャラリー燿（よう）で開いた個展の際のINVISIの展示風景。このギャラリーは、通りに面して大きな窓があるので、効果的に外光を採りいれることができ、INVISIのパネルが美しく見えるので、期間中、とても嬉しかった。しかし、お客さんはほとんど訪れない。ふつうのギャラリーではなく、建築関連の出版社が、自社ビルの1階の入口脇の空間をギャラリーにしているもので、美術関係者にもほとんど知られていない。場所は、京都駅から徒歩10分と恵まれているのだが……私は、この会社から出版された本の装丁の仕事も何度かさせていただいた。社屋は、建築関連の本を出しているだけあって、おしゃれなコンクリート造のビルなのだが、屋上に社長のお母さんの邸宅が建っているというふしぎな造りである。社長室は、なぜか厚さ10cmの鉛の板で囲われているというウワサだが、私は入ったことがない。そういえば、社長さんにお目にかかった記憶もないなあ……仕事の打合せは、編集さんとばかりで……当時、若い愉快な編集さんたちがたくさんおられたが、今はもうみなさんかなりのご年配のはず……お元気であろうか……。

I displayed INVISI in gallery Yoo of Kyoto in 1978. This is a photograph at that time. This gallery has a big window which faced at street, and outer light comes into inside effectively, so INVISI panel's look is very beautiful, I was very glad during a period of exhibition. But visitor seldom came. This gallery don't do business as the gallery. Certain building-related publishing company only made gallery-like space at the entrance side of the first floor of company's own Building, so it was not known among the art people. The location is very convenient that it takes ten minutes from Kyoto station on foot…… I did the binding of book published by this company several times. The building of this company is stylish steel reinforced concrete construction appropriate for a company publishing building-related books, but is the curious structure that the residence of mother of the president is built on the roof. I heard a rumor that the president's office is surrounded with a board of lead of 10 centimeters of thickness, but don't know the reason. And I haven't entered that room. Furthermore, there was no chance to meet the president. I did the meeting about the work exclusively with editors of that company. In that company, in those days, there were many young pleasant editors, but they should be all becoming old now. How are they now, everybody?……
